COOKING OPTIONS | DELAYED COOK The broil element may come on while the oven is heating up. Position food on a lower shelf or cover to prevent burning as the oven heats up. Safe food handling: leave food in the oven for as short a time as possible before and after cooking or defrosting, to avoid contamination by organisms which may cause food poisoning.
