Zoning requirements and device mappings Tables in this section show the device mappings and subsequent zoning requirements of solution devices: • BladeSystem c-Class enclosure model • Server type (half height, full height, half height double density, and full height double wide) • Mezzanine slot (P700m location) • BladeSystem c-Class enclosure server device bay (server blade location) • BladeSystem c-Class enclosure interconnect bay (switch blade location) • 3Gb SAS BL Switch port to which the external SAS storage enclosure that contains the zone group is connected (switch port) IMPORTANT: Failure to follow these guidelines will result in an unsupported configuration. For example, as shown in the table, if a full-height server blade is installed in device bay 1-8 of a c3000 enclosure, and the P700m Controller is installed in server mezzanine slot 2, the switch must be installed in BladeSystem interconnect bay 3/4 and it should be assigned a zone group that is in an external storage enclosure attached to switch ports 1, 2, 3, or 4.
