2 Master keys Restoring a master key from a key vault Use the following procedure to restore the master key from a key vault. 1. Select Configure > Encryption from the menu bar. The Encryption Center dialog box displays. 2. Select an encryption group from the tree, and click Properties. 3. Select the Security tab. 4. Select Restore Master Key as the Master Key Action. Choose the active or alternate master key for restoration, as appropriate. Refer to "Active master key" on page 61 and "Alternate master key" on page 61 if you need more information on active and alternate master keys. 6. Select Key Vault as the Restore From location. 7. Enter the key ID of the master key that was backed up to the key vault. 8. Enter the passphrase. The passphrase that was used to back up the master key must be used to restore the master key. 9. Restoring a master key from a key vault
Use the following procedure to restore the master key from a key vault.
1.
Select
Configure > Encryption
from the menu bar.
The
Encryption Center
dialog box displays.
2.
Select an encryption group from the tree, and click
Properties
.
3.
Select the
Security
tab.
4.
Select
Restore Master Key
as the
Master Key Action
.
The
Restore Master Key for Encryption Group
dialog box displays.

5.
Choose the active or alternate master key for restoration, as appropriate. Refer to
“Active
master key”
on page 61 and
“Alternate master key”
on page 61 if you need more information
on active and alternate master keys.
6.
Select
Key Vault
as the
Restore From
location.
7.
Enter the key ID of the master key that was backed up to the key vault.
8.
Enter the passphrase. The passphrase that was used to back up the master key must be used
to restore the master key.
9.
Click
OK
.
