Note When an initiator is configured in any other VSAN (other than VSAN 1), for example VSAN 2, the initiator is automatically removed from VSAN 1. If you also want it to be present in VSAN 1, you must explicitly configure the initiator in VSAN 1. VSAN Membership for iSCSI Interfaces VSAN membership can be configured for an iSCSI interface, called the port VSAN. All the iSCSI devices that connect to this interface automatically become members of this VSAN, if it is not explicitly configured in a VSAN. In other words, the port VSAN of an iSCSI interface is the default VSAN for all dynamic iSCSI initiators. The default port VSAN of an iSCSI interface is VSAN 1. Caution Changing the VSAN membership of an iSCSI interface that is part of an iSLB VRRP group impacts load balancing on the interface. See the "Changing iSCSI Interface Parameters and the Impact on Load Balancing" section on page 50-45. To change the default port VSAN for an iSCSI interface using Device Manager, follow these steps: Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Choose Interface > Ethernet and iSCSI.
