Bluetooth module NOTE: The Bluetooth module spare part kit does not include a Bluetooth module cable. The Bluetooth module cable is included in the Cable Kit, spare part number 608385-001. Description Bluetooth module (with gasket) Spare part number 625485-001 Before removing the Bluetooth module, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery cover and battery (see Battery on page 34). 5. Remove the memory module/wireless module compartment cover (see WLAN module on page 41). 6. Remove the top cover (see Top cover on page 50). Remove the Bluetooth module: 1. Disconnect the Bluetooth module cable (1) from the SIM/WWAN board. 2. Release the Bluetooth module cable from the routing clips (2) built into the base enclosure. 3. Release the Bluetooth module (3) from the retention clip built into the base enclosure. 4. Remove the Bluetooth module and cable. Reverse this procedure to install the Bluetooth module and cable. 56 Chapter 4 Removal and replacement procedures

Before removing the Bluetooth module, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4.
Remove the battery cover and battery (see
Battery
on page
34
).
5.
Remove the memory module/wireless module compartment cover (see
WLAN module
on page
41
).
6.
Remove the top cover (see
Top cover
on page
50
).
Remove the Bluetooth module:
1.
Disconnect the Bluetooth module cable
(1)
from the SIM/WWAN board.
2.
Release the Bluetooth module cable from the routing clips
(2)
built into the base enclosure.
3.
Release the Bluetooth module
(3)
from the retention clip built into the base enclosure.
4.
Remove the Bluetooth module and cable.
Reverse this procedure to install the Bluetooth module and cable.
