6-50 Installing the Operating System Drivers Microsoft Windows 95 When configuring the hardware using the System Configuration Utility, set these SMART-2DH Controller parameters: s Set the Controller Order of one SMART-2DH Controller to First (a SMART-2DH Controller must be the primary disk controller under DOS). s Set the Controller Order of all other SMART-2DH Controller boards (if any) consecutively beginning with Second. s Set the Controller Order of other drive controller types (if any) higher than all SMART-2DH Controller boards. s For best performance, set the Interrupt Selection for all SMART-2DH Controller boards to Enabled. Getting the Driver and Installation Information The instructions in this section can be used to retrieve the latest driver and information necessary to install the initial driver for a new SMART-2DH Array Controller installation or to upgrade the driver in an existing Windows 95 server/SMART-2DH Controller system. The latest drivers and support files for Windows 95 as well as information about installing the driver is located on the Compaq SmartStart and Support Software CD supplied with the SMART-2DH Controller Option Kit. To access these files, you will need to create a set of Compaq Windows 95 diskettes from the Compaq SmartStart and Support Software CD.
