Touch control board Description Touch control board (does not include cable) Spare part number L38692-001 Before removing the touch control board, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the display panel (see Display panel on page 25). Remove the touch control board: 1. Release the ZIF connectors (1) to which the touch control board cables are connected, and then disconnect the touch control board cables (2) from the touch control board. 2. If it is necessary to replace the touch control board cable, release the ZIF connector (3) to which the touch control board cable is connected, and then disconnect the touch control board cable (4) from the touch control board. NOTE: The touch control board cable is available using spare part number L38673-001. Reverse this procedure to install the touch control board and cable. 30 Chapter 5 Removal and replacement procedures

Before removing the touch control board, follow these steps:
1.

3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then

4.

Remove the touch control board:
1.
Release the ZIF connectors
(1)
to which the touch control board cables are connected, and then disconnect
the touch control board cables
(2)
from the touch control board.

If it is necessary to replace the touch control board cable, release the ZIF connector

to which the touch
control board cable is connected, and then disconnect the touch control board cable
(4)
from the touch
control board.
NOTE:
The touch control board cable is available using spare part number L38673-001.
Reverse this procedure to install the touch control board and cable.
