7. Slide the system board (2) forward until the rear edge of the system board is clear of the keyboard/ top cover. 8. Remove the system board. NOTE: The thermal material must be thoroughly cleaned from the surface of the system board components each time the system board is removed. Replacement thermal material is included with the system board spare part kits. Thermal pads are located on the procesor heat sink (1) and the graphics subsystem heat sink (2). Reverse this procedure to install the system board. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 3.
