WWAN module Description Intel XMM 7560 LTE-Advanced Pro with GPS M.2 WWAN module Spare part number L27188-001 Before removing the WWAN module, follow these steps: CAUTION: To prevent an unresponsive system, replace the wireless module only with a wireless module authorized for use in the computer by the governmental agency that regulates wireless devices in your country or region. If you replace the module and then receive a warning message, remove the module to restore device functionality, and then contact technical support. 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the display panel (see Display panel on page 25). Remove the WWAN module: 1. Remove the Phillips M2.0×2.3 broad head screw (1) that secures the WWAN module and support bracket to the WWAN transfer board. 2. Remove the WWAN support bracket (2). NOTE: The WWAN support bracket is available using spare part number L38683-001. 3. Disconnect the WWAN antenna cables (3) from the WWAN module. NOTE: The #3/red WWAN antenna cable connects to the WWAN module "#3/Main" terminal. The #4/ blue WWAN antenna cable connects to the WWAN module "#4/Aux" terminal. Component replacement procedures 31

Before removing the WWAN module, follow these steps:

Remove the WWAN module:
1.
Remove the Phillips M2.0×2.3 broad head screw

that secures the WWAN module and support bracket to
the WWAN transfer board.

Remove the WWAN support bracket

NOTE:
The WWAN support bracket is available using spare part number L38683-001.
3.
Disconnect the WWAN antenna cables

from the WWAN module.
NOTE:
The #3/red WWAN antenna cable connects to the WWAN module "#3/Main" terminal. The #4/ blue
WWAN antenna cable connects to the WWAN module "#4/Aux" terminal.
