Requirements To run the HP EFC Manager on a remote workstation, you must first download and install the HP EFC Manager application from the HP EFC server. The figures in this chapter show Netscape Navigator as the Internet browser; however, it is acceptable to use Microsoft Internet Explorer during these procedures The download and installation process requires the use of a workstation with the following minimum system requirements: • Operating systems (one of the following): - SunOS™ version 5.5.1 or higher - Solaris™ version 2.5.1 or higher • 300 megahertz (MHz) UltraSPARC™-II processor • 32 megabyte (MB) random access memory (RAM) memory • 15 MB available disk space • Video card supporting 256 colors at 800 x 600 resolution • Network connection • Internet browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 3.0 or later) or Netscape Navigator (version 3.0 or later) Newer versions of the HP EFC Manager or Product Managers installed on the HP EFC server will automatically download when the remote clients log in to the Server. 174 Appendix
