Configuring New Zoning for a Fabric Use the following tasks to configure a new zone and zone set, then activate the new zone set for the fabric. Steps are provided in each task to show you how to use dialog boxes and other features of fabric zoning. All features to configure zones and zone sets are available through the Zone Sets dialog box to display this dialog box, choose Zone Sets from the Configure menu. Task 1: Create Zones A zone is a set of physical ports on managed products in the fabric and/or devices attached to the ports. Ports are identified by the managed product domain and physical port member. Devices are identified by the WWN of the device. Use this task to define and add up to 1024 zones. To create zones, perform the following steps: 1. In either the Topology View or Zoning View, choose Zone Sets from the Configure menu. The Zone Sets dialog box displays. The Zone Set Library area of the Zone Sets dialog box displays all of the defined zone sets. If zone sets are not defined, this library is empty. Click the horizontal magnifying glass icon by a zone set to expand the list of zones included in the set. Configuring New Zoning for a Fabric
Use the following tasks to configure a new zone and zone set, then activate the new zone
set for the fabric. Steps are provided in each task to show you how to use dialog boxes and
