Introduction and General Information 4. Configure the dialog box exactly as the one shown in Figure 10 is configured. Restore In the event of a system failure, you will be able to return your database to a known state. To restore data from the backup disk to the HP EFC server: 1. Close down the HP EFC Manager application. 2. Click the Windows Start button, then click Programs, then Windows Explorer. The Exploring window displays. 3. Copy the HP EFCData directory from the Zip disk to the HP EFC root directory (typically c:\HP EFCData). 4. Close the Exploring window. Leave the Zip disk in the drive for QuikSync backup. 5. Reboot the HP EFC server: a. Click the Windows Start button, then click Shut Down. b. On the Shut Down Windows dialog box, click Restart the Computer and then click Yes. c. When prompted, simultaneously press to display the Windows 2000 Logon Information dialog box. d. Type your user name and password and click OK. 6. When the HP EFC Manager login screen appears, enter your user name and password. Make sure that localhost is selected in the EFC Server box. 7. Click Login to open the HP EFC Manager. Configure the dialog box exactly as the one shown in Figure 10 is configured.
Restore
In the event of a system failure, you will be able to return your database to a known state.
To restore data from the backup disk to the HP EFC server:
1.
Close down the HP EFC Manager application.
2.
Click the Windows
Start
button, then click
Programs
, then
Windows
Explorer
.
The Exploring window displays.
3.
Copy the HP EFCData directory from the Zip disk to the HP EFC root directory
(typically c:\HP EFCData).
4.
Close the Exploring window. Leave the Zip disk in the drive for QuikSync backup.
5.
Reboot the HP EFC server:
a.
Click the Windows
Start
button, then click
Shut Down
.
b.
On the Shut Down Windows dialog box, click
Restart the Computer
and then click
Yes
.
c.
When prompted, simultaneously press <Ctrl> <Alt> <Delete> to display the
Windows 2000 Logon Information dialog box.
d.
Type your user name and password and click
OK
.
6.
When the HP EFC Manager login screen appears, enter your user name and password.
Make sure that localhost is selected in the EFC Server box.
7.
Click
Login
to open the HP EFC Manager.
