To do this, you will need a standard serial cable with a female 9-pin D-Sub connector for the switch connection and an appropriate connector for the host/terminal being used. Connect the host system and the switch using the serial cable. 2. Start the terminal emulation software on the host system. 3. Power-on the switch. The switch will automatically connect, and you will be logged in as admin. If you are prompted for a login and password: 1. Enter [admin] and [password] respectively. 2. Enter the command [ipAddrSet]. You will be prompted to enter the Ethernet and FC IP addresses, subnet mask, and gateway address. 3. If the current value displayed is correct, select [ENTER]. Managing the Switch Using the Telnet Options:
1.
Connect the host system and the switch using the serial cable.
2.
Start the terminal emulation software on the host system.
3.
Power-on the switch.
The switch will automatically connect, and you will be logged in as
admin. If you are prompted for a login and password:
1. Enter
[admin]
and
[password]
respectively.
2.
Enter the command
[ipAddrSet]
. You will be prompted to enter the
Ethernet and FC IP addresses, subnet mask, and gateway address.
3.
If the current value displayed is correct, select

. The switch
