If you wish to set other configuration values, continue with the next section, "Drive Entries." Drive Entries Information in this section refers to the 9840, DLT 7000 and DLT 8000 drives. For you to be able to configure a 9840 drive's SCSI ID and bus status from the library's operator panel, the drive must have firmware version 1.24 or later. To check the drive's firmware version, select [DRIVE INFO] from the main menu. Configuring a tape drive might involve more than setting the drive's SCSI ID and bus status. For more information about 9840 drive configuration options and instructions, refer to the 9840 Tape Drive Installation Guide, Part Number A5598-96001.. Two entries at the library operator panel complete the configuration choices for each drive installed in the library. • SCSI ID • Bus status (on or off bus) "On Bus" means that the drive is on the same SCSI bus as the library. "Off Bus" means that the drive is not on the same SCSI bus as the library. You can set the drive SCSI IDs and bus status choices from the Drive Configuration menu. Drive Entries

NOTE
For you to be able to configure a 9840 drive’s SCSI ID and bus status from
