Front fan Before you begin: v Read "Safety information" on page 129 v Review the information in "System reliability considerations" on page 33 To remove the front fan, complete the following steps: 1. Turn off the server, if it is on. 2. Unplug the server, and disconnect the power cord; then, disconnect all external cables. 3. Remove the side cover. See "Removing the side cover" on page 36 4. Remove the frame-support bracket. See "Removing and installing the support bracket" on page 38 5. Remove the fan cable from the system board. 6. Remove the adapter-support bracket and fan housing. 7.
