Standby mode Standby mode puts the server into a wait state. When in a wait state, the server is not running the operating system, and all core logic is shut down. Complete the following steps to put the server into the standby mode: 1. Refer to your operating system documentation for the proper procedure to shutdown the operating system. 2. Complete the following steps to put the server into the standby mode:
1.
Refer to your operating system documentation for the proper procedure to
shutdown the operating system.
2.
Press the power control button on the front of the server.
