Maintenance 2-1. Necessity for maintenance The backlight is used in this LCD monitor as a light source. This part, which is a consumable, will deteriorate over time and lead to a reduced level of performance and failure. For this reason, it involves periodic maintenance and servicing aimed at keeping up the normal performance and preventing sudden failures caused by consumable parts. 2-2. Maintenance Schedule The maintenance period listed below is provided as a guideline and does not indicate the life of components. The replacement time is based on the lighting time of the backlight. The lighting time of the backlight can be confirmed at item "LCD" in HOUR METER menu (MAIN-INFORMATION) or item "LCD" in MAINTENANCE menu (Service menu). It is necessary to exchange it with the LCD unit. Please refer to the most recent execution outline because the maintenance specifications and the part numbers may change. After replacing LCD PANEL unit, set the LCD operation hours to 0 following the procedure shown in item " 3-2-1. MAINTENANCE" (page INF-3). The removal procedure is described in the item "9. Removal of the LCD PANEL Unit" (page DIS-11) of disassembly procedure (SECTION 2). Please refer to the item "7-2-2. LCD PANEL Unit" (page INF-21) for a necessary adjustment after the replacement of LCD PANEL unit. INF - 2
