Pfaff HD screen Settings menu In the Settings menu, you can override automatic settings and make manual adjustments to the machine settings (A), sound settings (B) and screen and light settings (C). Touch the icons to activate a function or open a list of choices. The settings are saved even after turning off the machine. Machine settings (A) Owner's name Touch the icon to get a pop-up where you can enter your name. Twin needle Touch the icon to open a list for twin needle width selections. When a twin needle size is selected, the width of all stitches is limited for that needle size to prevent needle breakage. The setting is kept until you deselect the twin needle width. When a twin needle size is selected, a pop-up is shown when turning on your machine. Another warning pop-up is shown when selecting a stitch that is too wide for the set twin needle size. The stitch width of those stitches is automatically adjusted to fit the twin needle. Deselect twin needle to go back to normal sewing. Stitch width safety Select this function when using a straight stitch stitch plate or a straight stitch presser foot to lock the center needle position for all stitches to prevent damage to the needle, presser foot or stitch plate. When turning on the machine with this setting activated and for every stitch selection that is not a straight stitch, a pop-up informs you that it is set to straight stitch. Deselect stitch width safety to go back to normal sewing. Note: Twin needle and stitch width safety cannot be used at the same time. Beading foot The beading foot setting will make sure that the tie-off is not made in the center position, where it might hit a pearl. You will find beading stitches in stitch category 6.2. Deselect the beading foot setting to go back to normal sewing. ABC Pop-up for twin needle selection. 3:8
