Replacing the imaging unit The machine uses four colors and has a different imaging unit for each one: yellow(Y), magenta(M), cyan(C), and black(K). When the life of the imaging unit expires totally • The status LED turns red on and the display screen shows the error message of replacing imaging unit. • Check the type of the imaging unit for your machine. Then remove the waste toner container. (SCX-8230 8240 Series) 3. Hold and push down the lever, and open the inner cover. 2. Hold the left/right locking levers and push outward at the same time.
