Shooting Functions > Flash Correcting the red-eye effect If the flash fires when you capture a photo of a person in the dark, a red glow may appear in the eyes. To correct the red-eye effect, select Auto Red-eye or Fill-in Red. Adjusting the flash intensity Adjust the flash intensity to avoid overexposure or underexposure. You can adjust it ±2 levels. To set the flash intensity, In Shooting mode, press [f] → Flash → an option → [D] → rotate the navigation button or press [C/F]. Flash : Fill in Without red-eye correction With red-eye correction If the subject is too far from the camera or moves when the first flash fires, red-eyes may not be reduced. If the flash fires when you capture a photo of a person in the dark,
a red glow may appear in the eyes. To correct the red-eye effect, select
Auto Red-eye
or
Fill-in Red
.
Without red-eye correction
With red-eye correction
If the subject is too far from the camera or moves when the first flash fires,
red-eyes may not be reduced.
