BEFORE USING THE MACHINE►LOADING PAPER Fusing unit pressure adjusting levers In some cases damage to the envelopes or smudging may occur even if envelopes within the specifications are used. This problem may be alleviated by shifting the fusing unit pressure adjusting levers from their "normal pressure position" to the "lower pressure position". Follow the procedure on the this page. 1 Open out the side cover. Gently open the cover. 2 A Move the fusing unit pressure adjusting levers (two) to the lower B pressure position as shown. Lower pressure position A B Normal position 3 Close the side cover. 4A B Return the lever to the normal position when finished feeding envelopes. 1-24

Fusing unit pressure adjusting levers

Open out the side cover.
Gently open the cover.

Move the fusing unit pressure
adjusting levers (two) to the lower
pressure position as shown.
3
Close the side cover.
4
Return the lever to the normal position
when finished feeding envelopes.
