13 Programming This chapter explains how to program various items. Before you start programming, turn the mode switch to PGM1 or PGM2 depending on the item you are going to program. PGM1 MODE PGM2 MODE Basic Instructions This section illustrates the basic programming by using an example of programming for departments. Programming example The following example shows how to program $2.00 for the unit price, "ABCDE" for the description, and the scale entry to be enabled for department 1. 1. In the PGM2 window, select "02 SETTING" by using the or key and press the (ENTER) key. • The SETTING window will appear. (ENTER) (CANCEL) NOTE • You can also select "02 SETTING" by pressing the 2 and (ENTER) keys. • If you return to the previous screen, press the (CANCEL) key. 2. Select "01 ARTICLE." • The ARTICLE window will appear. (ENTER) (CANCEL) NOTE The arrow mark in the upper-right corner of the window shows that the window contains more options than are now on the screen. To scroll the window, press the PAGE DOWN key. To return to the previous page, press the PAGE UP key. 3. Select "01 DEPARTMENT." • The DEPARTMENT window will appear, listing programmable departments. (ENTER) (CANCEL) 97

This chapter explains how to program various items.
Before you start programming, turn the mode switch to PGM1 or PGM2
depending on the item you are going to program.
Basic Instructions
This section illustrates the basic programming by using an example of programming for departments.
Programming example
The following example shows how to program $2.00 for the unit
