You can check the recording level value with the peak meter of the display window. Adjust the level closer to -12 dB, into a range that is appropriate for your sound source. If " " is displayed, press . on the control button to adjust the recording level down so that " " is not displayed, to prevent sound distortion. OVER indicator Adjust the maximum level of the sound to about -12 dB. Press and hold . or > on the control button to change the REC Level value continuously. The sound level is also displayed as a number right side of the level meter. 6 Make other settings according to the state of recording. If necessary, utilize the "LIMITER" setting in the menu (page 91). 7 To start recording, press z REC/ PAUSE. 8 To stop recording, press x STOP. P Notes • In the manual recording mode, you cannot record with the VOR function (page 45). • In the manual recording mode, you cannot review the current recording, even if you press N/ENT.
