3 Tests and Diagnostics 3.13 Hard Disk Test Subtest 04 Cross talk & peak shift This subtest writes eight types of worst pattern data (listed below) to a cylinder and then reads the data while moving from cylinder to cylinder. (Tests the data interference in the neighbor track.) Subtest 06 Subtest 07 Subtest 08 Subtest 09 Write specified address This subtest writes specified data to a specified cylinder and head on the HDD. Read specified address This subtest reads data, which has been written to a specified cylinder and head on the HDD. Sequential write This subtest writes specified 2-byte data to all of the cylinders on the HDD.
