Passage A. - review

Page 26 highlights

Select and prepare an installation site You need to review these issues prior to, or at the time of, the site inspection conducted by your Xerox service representative. Required passage and doorway width Although the passageways may be wide enough to allow the modules to pass through, do not overlook the width of any doorways that must be used when delivering the equipment. The minimum required width for doorways is 35 inches (89 cm.) when the module can pass straight through. Required turning radius When the system modules must negotiate a corner during delivery, additional passageway width requirements must be considered. Such cases arise when a module must be able to turn to negotiate a corner, turn to pass through a door, or turn to enter an elevator. There are L-shaped turns and T-shaped turns. The diagrams and the tables that follow show the minimum space needed to maneuver through the turns. To use the tables, follow these steps: 1. Measure the minimum width of the passage or doorway through which the hardware module must be moved. This is Passage A. 2. Locate the number (or the next higher number) in the left column of Table 3-2. 3. Read across the row to the corresponding minimum value for Passage B, depending on the type of turn the equipment must negotiate (L-turn or T-turn). 4-8 DocuTech 61xx Installation Planning Guide

Required passage and doorway width

doorways that must be used when delivering the equipment. The
minimum required width for doorways is 35 inches (89 cm.) when
the module can pass straight through.
Required turning radius
When the system modules must negotiate a corner during
delivery, additional passageway width requirements must be
considered. Such cases arise when a module must be able to
turn to negotiate a corner, turn to pass through a door, or turn to
enter an elevator.
There are L-shaped turns and T-shaped turns. The diagrams

1.
Measure the minimum width of the passage or doorway
through which the hardware module must be moved. This is
Passage A.
2.
Locate the number (or the next higher number) in the left
column of Table 3-2.
3.
Read across the row to the corresponding minimum value for
Passage B, depending on the type of turn the equipment
must negotiate (L-turn or T-turn).
