Allows you to adjust the resonance effect (see "Harmonic Content" on page 92). BRIGHTNESS .... Determines the brightness of the sound by adjusting the cutoff frequency (page 92). Changing Pitch-related Settings - Tune The operations for this page apply to step 2 of the procedure on page 124. Switches among the available parameters: PORTAMENTO TIME, PITCH BEND RANGE, OCTAVE, and TUNING. A F B G C H D I E J Portamento is used to create a smooth transition in pitch from one note to the next. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Refer to the explanation below. These increase/decrease (transpose) the pitch in semitone units. MASTER ... Transposes both the pitch of the keyboard and that of the song playback. SONG........ Transposes the pitch of the song playback. KBD .......... Transposes the pitch of the keyboard. PORTAMENTO TIME When the part is set to Mono (page 61, 91), this determines the Portamento time. The higher the value, the longer the time it takes for the pitch to change. Portamento is only applied when you play legato (playing the next note before releasing the previous one). PITCH BEND RANGE ...........Determines the range of the PITCH BEND wheel for the corresponding part. The range is from "0" to "12" with each step corresponding to one semitone. OCTAVE Determines the range of the pitch change in octaves, over two octaves up or down. The value of this parameter is added to the value set via the [UPPER OCTAVE] button.
