Using a Microphone - MIC. (PSR-2100 only) This extraordinarily powerful feature uses advanced voice-processing technology to automatically produce vocal harmony based on a single lead vocal. Four distinct harmony modes as well as an extensive selection of preset harmony types are provided. In addition to straightforward harmony, the PSR-2100 also lets you change the apparent gender of the harmony and/or lead vocal sound. For example, if you are a male singer, you can have the PSR-2100 automatically generate a two-part female backup. For details about connecting a microphone, see page 155. MIC. VH TYPE SELECT OVER SIGNAL MIC. SETTING This calls up the VOCAL HARMONY TYPE display (page 131) and lets you set the desired harmony type. This calls up the MICROPHONE SETTING display (page 133) and lets you adjust the level of the microphone and vocal harmony effect. VOCAL HARMONY TALK EFFECT Determines the on/off setting of the effect applied to the microphone, set in the MIXING CONSOLE display (page 127). This convenient function lets you temporarily cancel the vocal harmony or other microphone effects when using a connected microphone. This is especially useful when you talk between songs during a performance. If you connect a microphone to the PSR-2100, you can sing along with the song or auto accompaniment and have vocal harmony parts added automatically.
