PREPARATION CONNECTIONS ■ Connecting to the MULTI CH INPUT jacks This unit is equipped with 8 additional input jacks (left and right FRONT, CENTER, left and right SURROUND, left and right SURROUND BACK and SUBWOOFER) for discrete multi-channel input from a universal disc player, external decoder, sound processor or pre-amplifier. Connect the output jacks on your multi-disc player or external decoder to the MULTI CH INPUT jacks. Be sure to match the left and right outputs to the left and right input jacks for the front and surround channels. Connecting to the MULTI CH INPUT jacks
This unit is equipped with 8 additional input jacks (left and right FRONT, CENTER, left and right SURROUND, left and
right SURROUND BACK and SUBWOOFER) for discrete multi-channel input from a universal disc player, external
decoder, sound processor or pre-amplifier.
Connect the output jacks on your multi-disc player or external decoder to the MULTI CH INPUT jacks. Be sure to match
the left and right outputs to the left and right input jacks for the front and surround channels.

Connecting to the 2CH IN jacks
This unit is equipped with 2 additional input jacks for discrete 2-channel input from a universal disc player, passive input
selector or other high-speed audio component.
The signals input to these jacks can be chosen by pressing PURE DIRECT (see page 45). This feature provides the best
possible sound quality from this unit.
Connect the output jacks on your multi-disc player or external decoder to the 2CH IN jacks.
