Practical hints Vehicle status messages in the multifunction display Display messages Remove 'Start' Button and Insert Key Obtain a New Key Possible cause/consequence The KEYLESS-GO system is malfunctioning. Possible solution X Remove KEYLESS-GO button from the starter switch (Y page 302). X Operate the vehicle with the SmartKey in the starter switch. X The SmartKey with KEYLESS-GO must be replaced. Contact an authorized Mercedes-Benz Center as soon as possible. Key Does Not Belong to Vehicle The SmartKey or SmartKey with KEYLESSGO in the starter switch does not belong to the vehicle. The water level has dropped to approx. 1.1 US qts (1.0 l). X Remove the SmartKey from the starter switch. Check Washer Fluid X Add washer fluid (Y page 428). 512
