Licensing Snap Servers for Use with SSM For multiserver administration of GuardianOS Snap Servers, the purchase of a license for every server is required. Registering your Snap Servers first will streamline the license acquisition process. 1 Purchase a license for each Snap Server at the Snap Server Web site. Visit the Snap Server web site to purchase an SSM license for each GuardianOS Snap Server. You will receive an email containing proof of purchase (PoP) numbers that you will need to generate your SSM licenses. http://www.snapserver.com/Products/SSM.shtml 2 In SSM, select the servers to be licensed and access the License Required dialog box. With PoP numbers at hand, start SSM and select the GuardianOS servers to be licensed. Then select the Administration > License Servers for SSM command and enter the necessary administrative password(s). The License Required dialog box opens. 3 Generate the license keys using the Registration Server. In the License Required dialog box, select Click here to obtain SSM multi-use license keys. This will launch a browser to the Registration Server page. If you have already registered your servers, the fields for the server and serial numbers you need to generate the keys will automatically populate. Complete the remainder of the required fields as indicated on the page and then submit the form to obtain the license keys. Note Should you need to enter the serial number manually, you can find the number (a 10-character alphanumeric string): • On the underside of the chassis towards the middle front (110, 210) • On the top of the chassis in the front left corner (410, 510, 520, 550, and 650). • On a label affixed to the inside of your Snap Server. To view the label, remove the front bezel (4200 and 4500) or open the front door (18000). 4 Copy and paste the license keys into SSM's Enter License dialog box. Copy the license keys from the page generated by the Registration Server. Then, in the License Required dialog box, click Enter License..., paste the keys in the space provided, and then click OK. You can configure SSM to

Licensing Snap Servers for Use with SSM
For multiserver administration of GuardianOS Snap Servers, the purchase of a
license for every server is required. Registering your Snap Servers first will
streamline the license acquisition process.

Purchase a license for each Snap Server at the Snap Server Web site.
Visit the Snap Server web site to purchase an SSM license for each GuardianOS
Snap Server. You will receive an email containing proof of purchase (PoP)

In SSM, select the servers to be licensed and access the License Required
dialog box.
With PoP numbers at hand, start SSM and select the GuardianOS servers to be
