Configuring iSCSI Initiators 6 Identify the specific volume you are expanding. 7 Enter: select disk n where n is the disk number that Diskpart indicated from the list command. 8 Enter: select Volume n where n is the volume number that Diskpart indicated from the list command. 9 Enter extend size=n where n is the number of megabytes you want to expand the disk. For example, if you are adding 10 GBs to an existing disk of 100 GBs, use the following command: extend size=10240 (the number is in megabytes, 1024MBs = 1GB) Note The Disk Management GUI will show the newly expanded disk size. 10 Exit the Computer Management tool. 11 Restart the necessary application services. Configuring the QLogic QLA4010 and QLA4050 iSCSI Initiators for Microsoft Windows QLogic's QLA4010 and QLA4050 are iSCSI adapters that appear as a SCSI adapter instead of a network adapter in Windows Device Manager. Before the QLA4010 or QLA4050 can successfully connect to iSCSI targets, you must: • Set initiator parameters (for example, initiator name, alias, IP address). • Enter target information (for example, target portal information and target iSCSI name). You can use either the SANSurfer Management application that came with the QLA4010/4050 or Microsoft's iSCSI initiator applet to set initiator parameters and enter target information.
