Lock function DANGER Wait at least 5 minutes after turning off the power switch and disconnecting the power cord from the wall outlet before opening the cover of the control box. Touching areas where high voltages are present can result in severe injury. Control box When the lock function is set to "ON", the key operations for making settings such as the following will be disabled in order to prevent these settings from being accidentally changed. Resetting all settings to their defaults If the sewing machine stops operating normally, the cause may be that an incorrect setting may have been made for the memory data by means of memory switches, for instance. In such cases, it may be possible to restore normal operation by following the steps given below to initialize the memory setting data. * This setting cannot be carried out if the lock function is on. (For details on turning the lock function off, refer to "8-7. Lock function".) 1 Activating initialization mode 4222M (While pressing the continuous backtack key, press the power ON switch.) 2 (Press for 2 seconds or more) "in.AL" will appear in the display (1). 8-7. Lock function

When the lock function is set to “ON”, the key operations for
making settings such as the following will be disabled in
order to prevent these settings from being accidentally
changed.

If the sewing machine stops operating normally, the cause may be that an incorrect setting may have been made for the
memory data by means of memory switches, for instance. In such cases, it may be possible to restore normal operation by
following the steps given below to initialize the memory setting data.

Activating initialization mode

press the power ON switch.)
“in.AL” will appear in the display (1).

(Press for 2 seconds or more)
Once initialization is complete, the “in.AL” appearing in the
display (1) will disappear and normal sewing machine
operation will then be possible.
