Projecting white documents If the WHITE PAPER button is pressed when projecting text documents on a white background, this mode automatically adjusts so projection of white parts of a document appear much whiter. If the button is pressed, the WHITE PAPER indicator lights up. If the button is pressed again, the indicator turns off and returns to regular mode. E Adjusting Brightness and Image Contrast If you want to project a black or dark document, or the item being projected is small and has great contrast compared to the background, you may be able to control the brightness (adjust the exposure) by using the EXPOSURE knob to make the image clearer. If the background is white and the subject is dark, sometimes the quality of the image improves if you place it on black paper when projecting it. Turn the knob toward the HIGH side to brighten the image. Turn the Operation panel knob toward the LOW side to darken the image. Use the DETAIL control to adjust image quality. Turn the control toward the HARD side to emphasize the outline of an object. Turn the control towards the SOFT side for a softer outline.
