BJC-50 1.2.2 Scanner mode Part 4: Technical Reference When powered on, the printer starts up in the printer mode regardless of the printer head type. Once the printer is on, it stands by to receive a data or a command. When the printer recognizes the scanner activation command, the printer starts operating in the scanner mode. After the printer recognizes the scanner head and performs the POWER ON operation, the printer starts to preheat the scanner head. Scanner cartridge preheating initialization Wait for command and message Scanner activation command received Scanner activation message issued · Host computer starts up scanner driver. 1.2.2 Scanner mode
When powered on, the printer starts up in the printer mode regardless of the printer
head type.
Once the printer is on, it stands by to receive a data or a command.
When the printer recognizes the scanner activation command, the printer starts
operating in the scanner mode.
After the printer recognizes the scanner head and
performs the POWER ON operation, the printer starts to preheat the scanner head.
