Setting the Desired Exposure N Compensation Exposure compensation can brighten (increased exposure) or darken (decreased exposure) the standard exposure set by the camera. Exposure compensation can be set in the , , , , and shooting modes. You can set exposure compensation up to ±3 stops in 1/3-stop increments. For details on exposure compensation when mode and ISO Auto are both set, see =103, and see =104 for mode. 1 Check the exposure. zz Press the shutter button halfway and check the exposure level indicator.
