Geotagging Images You can geotag images with GPS Receiver GP-E2 (sold separately) or a Bluetooth enabled smartphone. Using GP-E2 1 Attach GP-E2 to the camera. zz Attach GP-E2 to the camera's hot shoe and turn it on. For details, refer to the GP-E2 Instruction Manual. 2 Select [5: GPS device settings]. 3 Select [GPS receiver]. 4 Take the picture. zz For details on [Set up], refer to the GPE2 Instruction Manual. Precautions When Using GP-E2 ooBe sure to check the countries and regions where its use is allowed, and use the function in accordance with the laws and regulations of the country or region. ooMake sure the GP-E2 firmware is updated to Ver. 2.0.0 or later. Firmware updating requires an interface cable. For updating instructions, visit the Canon website. ooThe cable cannot be used to connect the camera to the GP-E2. ooThe digital compass cannot be used with the camera, and the shooting direction is not recorded. 402
