Using the Built-in Flash Use the flash according to the guidelines below. Mode Dial Flash is open Flash is closed The flash fires with every shot. The flash will fire automatically. A flashing red in the LCD monitor (or viewfinder) indicates insufficient light level. In this case, raise the flash before shooting. Setting the Red-eye Reduction Function Mode Dial The red-eye reduction lamp fire when the flash is used in dark areas. This reduces light reflecting back from the eyes and making them appear red. 40
