Statement 1040 Follow these steps to install an SFP module in a Cisco 2900 or 3900 series router: Step 1 Step 2 Read the "Safety Warnings" section on page 5-2 section and disconnect the power supply before you perform any module replacement. Slide the SFP into the router connector until it locks into position (see Figure 5-45). Tip If the SFP uses a bale-clasp latch (see Figure 5-45), the handle should be on top of the SFP module. Slide the SFP into the router connector until it locks into position (see

).
