This is assigned to the link and used to calculate the cost from each router via the links in the network to other destinations. This metric should be used only in the SPF calculation for Level 2 routing. The range is from 1 to 63. Select the Default option to use the default value. Enter the ISIS password used in level-1 routing here. This enables the prevention of unauthorized routers from forming adjacencies with this router, and thus protects the network from intruders. The password is exchanged as plain text and thus provides only limited security. This can be up to 16 characters long. Select the Default option to use the default setting.
