Section 4 - Configuration L2TP Choose L2TP (Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol) if your Internet Service Provider (ISP) uses a L2TP connection. Your ISP will provide you with a username and password. L2TP Server IP Enter the L2TP server IP address provided by your ISP. Address: Username: Enter the username provided by your ISP. Password: Enter the password provided by your ISP. Reconnect Select either Always-on, On-Demand, or Manual. Mode: Maximum Idle Enter a maximum idle time during which the Internet connection Time: is maintained during inactivity. To disable this feature, enable Autoreconnect. Address Mode: Select Static IP if your ISP assigned you the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS server addresses. In most cases, select Dynamic IP. L2TP IP Enter the IP address provided by your ISP (Static IP only). Address: L2TP Subnet Enter the subnet mask provided by your ISP (Static IP only). Mask: L2TP Gateway Enter the gateway IP address provided by your ISP (Static IP only). IP Address: Primary DNS Enter the primary DNS server IP address assigned by your ISP.
