Section 5 - Advanced Network Configuration Routing A static route tells network devices about an exact, fixed (hard-coded) destination. Static routes can work well with small networks. There are two kinds of static routing: Static Route and Protocol-Binding. The Static Route uses IP address to determined where is the next hop, whereas Protocol-Binding use protocol. Configuring your wireless controller for static routing allows data transfers between it and a routing device without needing to use dynamic routing protocols. Configure IPv4 Static Routing Path: Network > Routing > IPv4 Static Routes To add a static route: 1. Click Network > Routing > IPv4 Static Routes. 2. Click Add New Static Route. The Static Route Configuration page will appear. 3. Complete the fields in the table on the next page and click Save. D-Link DWC-2000 User Manual 142
