Chapter 2 Operation of Diag. Sensor name (Diag. Code) Confirmation procedures CAUTION: The Fuser is very hot. Take extremely care not to get burned when carrying the followings. NOTE: Prepare the small size slip of paper (10mm x 50mm). 1) Turn on the power and enter the Diagnostic Mode. 2) Execute the DI-23. 3) Push up the Front Latch to open the Front Cover. 4) Pinch the tabs on both end of the Transfer Roller, and then remove the Transfer Roller. 5) Taking out and putting a small size slip of paper into the gap of the Toner Full Sensor. Check the number on the control panel is counted up. Operator Panel 5) BTR Toner Full (DI-23) Toner Full Sensor 3)-2 3)-1 Ida_Sec02_024FA 6) Press the "CANCEL" key to stop the test. 7) Turn off the power. 8) Reinstall the Transfer Roller into position by pushing down on the tabs until you hear a click. (You may hear a click when the Transfer Roller seats properly.) 9) Close the Front Cover. 2 - 30
