2 dnsConfig dnsConfig Sets, displays, or removes domain name service (DNS) parameters. SYNOPSIS dnsconfig dnsconfig --add -domain name -serverip1 ipaddr serverip2 ipaddr dnsconfig --delete dnsconfig --show dnsconfig --help DESCRIPTION NOTES OPERANDS EXAMPLES Use this command to display, set, or remove the domain name service parameters. The domain name service parameters are the domain name and the name server IP address for primary and secondary name servers. The dnsconfig command displays IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. The execution of this command is subject to Virtual Fabric or Admin Domain restrictions that may be in place. Refer to Chapter 1, "Using Fabric OS Commands" and Appendix A, "Command Availability" for details. This command has the following operands: --add Sets the DNS configuration. -domain name Specifies the DNS domain name. -serverip1 ipaddr Specifies the DNS primary server IP address. The IP address can be an IPv4 or IPv6 address. -serverip2 ipaddr Specifies the DNS secondary server IP address. The IP address can be an IPv4 or IPv6 address. --delete Removes the DNS configurations. --show Displays the current DNS configuration. --help Displays the command usage. To set the DNS parameters for the system: switch:admin> dnsconfig Enter option 1 Display Domain Name Service (DNS) configuration 2 Set DNS configuration 3 Remove DNS configuration 4 Quit Select an item: (1..4) [4] 2 Enter Domain Name: [] domain.com 248 Fabric OS Command Reference 53-1002746-01
