Enabling Global Logs Using the CLI The following table summarizes the equivalent CLI commands for working with fields displayed in the Global Log Parameters page. Table 6-14. Global Log Parameters CLI Commands CLI Command Description logging on Enables error message logging. logging ip-address [port port] [severity level] [facility facility] [description text] Logs messages to a syslog server. logging console level Limits messages logged to the console based on severity. logging buffered level Limits syslog messages displayed from an internal buffer (RAM) based on severity. logging file [level] Limits syslog messages sent to the logging file based on severity.
