Problem You cannot make outgoing calls You cannot answer incoming calls Unable to add contacts to the device Echo or noise Possible causes Possible solutions The SIM card is not installed. Install a valid SIM card in your device. Poor signal. Move to an open space, or if you are inside a building, move closer to a window. Your device is in Airplane mode with no wireless connectivity. Touch the status area on the status bar and clear the Airplane mode check box. You have enabled the Call barring feature. Touch the Home button →Menu button → Settings→Call settings→Call barring→Deactivate all. You have enabled Fixed Dialing Numbers. Touch the Home button →Menu button → Settings→Call settings→ Fixed Dialing Numbers. Disable Fixed Dialing Numbers (FDN). Poor signal. Move to an open space, or if you are inside a building, move closer to a window. Your device is in Airplane mode with no wireless connectivity. Touch the status area on the status bar and clear the Airplane mode check box. You have enabled the Call barring feature. Touch the Home button →Menu button → Settings→ Call settings→ Additional call settings→Call barring→Deactivate all. Memory for storing contacts is already full. Delete unnecessary contact information from the device. Poor network trunk quality on the part of your service provider, or poor local telephone line quality. Hang up and dial again.
