Options Problem An optional interface board is installed and the printer does not work properly. Solution The printer does not print or the printout is not what you expect. The interface board may be loose or not properly connected. Check that the interface board is fully inserted into the connector on the back of the printer. See page 5-33. You may not be using a compatible interface board. Check if you can use the interface with the DFX-8000. See page 5-33. You may not be using the correct cable. Be sure the cable matches the interface specifications. The DIP switches or jumpers on the interface board may not be set correctly. See the interface manual for the correct settings. The computer and interface settings may not match. See the computer and the interface manual to find the proper settings. Troubleshooting 7-23
