Logical unit
Unit of device that is subject to an input/output operation on the SCSI bus
Logical Unit Number (LUN)
Device number assigned to identify a logical unit
Message
Control information that is used to control the execution sequence of a series of
bus sequence and input/output operations.
Messages are sent and received
between the initiator and the target operating on the SCSI bus.
Reconnect
Operation executed by the target to reconnect the initiator when use of the SCSI
bus is required again by the target that executed a Disconnect operation
SCSI device
Device that is connected to the SCSI bus, such as an input/output device, I/O
controller, and host adapter

One-byte code included in sense data.
This code provides more detailed
information to identify a detected error.
Sense data
Information about an error that occurred during execution of a command.
This
data is generated by the target at the end of command execution.
Sense key
Four-bit code included in sense data.
This code provides information on the type
of error detected.
