Remove the TouchPad board

Remove the TouchPad board: 1. Turn the top cover upside down, with the front toward you. 2. Remove the six Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws that secure the TouchPad bracket to the top cover. CAUTION: When removing the TouchPad bracket, be sure that the fingerprint reader board cable (1) is removed through the opening in the TouchPad bracket. Failure to follow this caution may result in damage to the fingerprint reader board cable. NOTE: The fingerprint reader board cable is present only on computer models equipped with a fingerprint reader. 3. Release the TouchPad bracket (2) by sliding it forward until the bracket clears the spring clips (3) built into the top cover. 4. Remove the TouchPad bracket (4). 5. Remove the TouchPad board:
1.
Turn the top cover upside down, with the front toward you.
2.
Remove the six Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws that secure the TouchPad bracket to the top cover.
CAUTION:
When removing the TouchPad bracket, be sure that the fingerprint reader board cable
(1)
is removed through the opening in the TouchPad bracket. Failure to follow this caution may
result in damage to the fingerprint reader board cable.
NOTE:
The fingerprint reader board cable is present only on computer models equipped with a
fingerprint reader.
3.
Release the TouchPad bracket
