Reduce interference on a wireless network The following tips can reduce interference in a wireless network: ● Keep the wireless devices away from large metal objects, such as filing cabinets, and other electromagnetic devices, such as microwaves and cordless telephones. These objects can disrupt radio signals. ● Keep the wireless devices away from large masonry structures and other building structures. These objects can absorb radio waves and lower signal strength. ● Position the wireless router in a central location in line of sight with the wireless printers on the network. If there is a newer version available, follow the steps below to update the firmware on your printer. a. Go to support.hp.com, click the Drivers & Software link, type the printer name in the search field, press the ENTER button, and then select the printer from the list of search results. b. Select the operating system. c. Under the Firmware section, locate the Firmware Update Utility. NOTE: Make sure to use the firmware update utility that is specific to the printer model. d.
