Before removing the optical drive, follow these steps: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 21). 2. Remove the access panel (see Access panel on page 21). Remove the optical drive: 1. Disconnect the power cable and data cable from the rear of the optical drive. 2. Push the green release latch on the back of the drive (1), and then slide the drive forward and out of the front of the computer (2). 3.
